Mr. Transmission was founded as Automatic Transmission Service in 1956, later acquiring Grayson Rose Transmission in 1968. In October 1990, Moran Industries, Inc. acquired the Mr. Transmission team consisting of 65 active franchise owners. We relocated the corporate offices to Midlothian, Illinois. In less than one year, Mr. Transmission grew to 85 service centers. We have continued to acquire additional transmission centers, strengthening its position in the automotive service market. This Network of Centers also includes Mr. Transmission, Multistate Transmission, and Dr Nicks Transmissions. I broke down out of town which made breaking down 100x worse. I chose Mr. Transmission since I knew there were a couple locations near my hometown and was so surprised how honest they would be to me. I came to them knowing my transmission was broken and preparing to get a major, high dollar bill but it turned out that I was low on fluid due to a tiny leak from a seal. They knew I was despondent and knew I just wanted to fix my car and get home. I don't know if any other garage would have been so honest with me about what was really wrong with my car. I really believe other garages would have seen the "wounded animal" and would have gone in for the k i l l. I made it home with no problems and still have no problems. If in Jackson and need a car repair, I would recommend Mr. Transmission for the repair.
